RUOK Program

RUOK? (Are You OK)

Herculaneum Police - Security & Awareness For Elderly

Do you have a family member or friend living in Herculaneum who could use a little extra “looking after”? Do you have an elderly parent or relative who lives alone? How about a handicapped friend or a sibling recovering from an accident or surgery? Would it ease your mind to know that someone else besides you is aware of their special needs?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then our RUOK program is for you! All you need to do is fill out the enrollment form and submit it to the Herculaneum Police Department. We will call your loved one each day to make sure everything is OK!

If we cannot make contact, an Officer will investigate, contact relatives and check the well being of your loved one.

For more information on this important program, call the Herculaneum Police Department at 636-479-4791.

Registration forms are available at the police station or can be downloaded here.

Missouri Victim Automated Notification System (MOVANS)

The Missouri Victim Automated Notification System (MOVANS) is a fully automated notification service that alerts registered users to changes in an offender’s custody or court status. Once enrolled, you can receive updates when an offender is booked into, transferred within, released from, or escapes custody in a county jail or a Missouri Department of Corrections facility.

MOVANS also provides important notifications about upcoming court events and any changes to scheduled hearings. This statewide service covers offenders housed in Missouri county jails and Department of Corrections facilities and includes court event notifications.

Do not rely solely on MOVANS—or any single program—for your personal safety. Instead, use MOVANS as one part of a broader safety plan.

Custody status notifications may include:

  • Release

  • Escape

  • Transfer

Users may also choose to receive automated phone calls reminding them of upcoming court dates. Offenders are not notified when someone registers with MOVANS.

To register or get more information, call 1-866-5-MOVANS.

MOVANS is part of the National Victim Automated Notification System.
