Captain of Herculaneum Police

Capt. Mark Grobe – Asst. Chief

Mark Grobe, Captain with the Herculaneum Police Department.  I have been with the Herculaneum Police Department for 3 and half years. I have 29 years of experience in law enforcement. I started my career in 1995 with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. During my years at the sheriff’s office, I have worked in many different positions, jail, road patrol, narcotics, evidence collection, field training officer and School Resource Officer and other assignments as needed. In 2014 I took the position as the Chief of Police of the newly founded Dunklin R5 School District Police Department, developing a complete police department within the district. After transitioning to the Herculaneum Police Department in 2020, I have worked closely with Chief Kyle to help oversee the day to operations of the Herculaneum Police Department.  I currently sit on the board for the Jeffco Shop with a Cop, which raises money throughout the year to help children in need at Christmas time. I have been married for 30 years to my wife Carol, we have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. On my time off I am either riding my motorcycle or working in my garage with other hobbies.
