The City of Herculaneum would like to inform all residents of important updates to the community’s waste collection schedule. Waste Connections has announced changes that will take effect Thursday, September 3, 2026, impacting trash, recycling, yard waste, and bulk item pickup.
What’s Changing?
Beginning Thursday, September 3rd:
- All waste collection services will move to Thursday.
- Trash will continue to be collected weekly.
- Recycling and yard waste will now be collected every other week on Thursdays.
These updates are part of Waste Connections’ service adjustments for the city and are intended to streamline collection routes and improve efficiency.
Area‑Specific Calendar Colors
The 2026 Recycling & Yard Waste Calendar includes color‑coded collection dates:
- RED – Providence and Stonewater
- GRAY – All other Herculaneum areas
Please refer to the official calendar for exact pickup dates throughout the year.
Bulk Item Pickup
Residents may schedule one bulk item per month at no charge.
Additional bulk items can be collected for a fee, which must be arranged prior to service.
Bulk items must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance by calling Waste Connections at (636) 321‑2100.
