Water, Sewer & Trash Department

Trash pickup is TUESDAY for all residences EAST of Interstate 55. FRIDAY is the date for trash collection for all residences WEST of Interstate 55.

Trash must be set out by 6:00 AM on scheduled pick-up days.

Yard Waste Collection

Yard waste will be picked up on the 4TH WEDNESDAY of each month. Yard waste must be placed in brown paper yard waste bags (Limit of 12 bags and no plastic bags) or a can clearly marked YARD WASTE.

Yard waste must be set out by 6:00 AM on scheduled pick-up days.

Bulk Item Collection

Bulk items will be collected on your trash day on the 1ST and 3RD weeks of each month. Please call Customer Service 24 hours in advance to schedule pickup and identify bulk items.

"White goods" will require a $25.00 sticker fee and can be purchased by calling the Customer Service Number.

Recycling Information

RECYCLABLE ITEMS COLLECTION will be on Every other MONDAY throughout the city.

Recyclable items must be set out by 6:00 AM on scheduled pick-up days.

Acceptable items include:

Tin & Steel Cans including empty Aerosol cans and containers.

Aluminum food & beverage containers: cans, bottles, aluminum foil, aluminum food trays

Plastics:
 
#1 PETE - soda, water & flavored beverage bottles
 
#2 HDPE - milk & juice jugs, detergent & fabric softener containers, etc. 
 
#3 PVC - narrow neck containers: health & beauty aid products, household cleaners, etc.
 
#4 LDPE - grocery containers: margarine tubs, frozen desert cups, etc.
 
#5 PP - grocery containers: yogurt cups, syrup & ketchup bottles, etc.
 
#6 styrofoam items are NOT accepted

#7 - Plastic resin narrow neck containers
 
Also accept, plastic buckets like kitty litter containers

Basically, any plastic that has a number inside the "Chasing Arrows" recycle logo.

ALL CONTAINERS MUST BE RINSED CLEAN OF ANY TYPE OF LIQUID OR SOLIDS.

Cardboard:

Cardboard, chipboard (cereal, cake & food mix boxes, gift boxes, soda & beer carrier cases), Pizza Boxes (minor food residue is ok, no crust or pieces), etc.
 

Paper:

Newspaper, including inserts,  brown paper bags, office, computer, notebook, gift wrap paper (no metal clips, spirals or binders), carrier stock (soda and beer carrying cases), junk mail & envelopes, telephone books, paper back books (no hard cover books)

Glass:

Glass bottles and jars (clear, brown & green)

No window glass, dinnerware or ceramics
 
Aseptic packaging & gable top containers (milk & juice cartons)

Items that are not acceptable:

Bathroom waste,
Food scraps,
Kitty litter,
Styrofoam,
Wet waste (garbage),
Plastic toys/sporting goods,
Electronics or batteries,
Hazardous chemical containers,
Compact discs or DVD's,
Yard waste,
Plastic bags (return to grocery or other retail stores) 
Motor oil bottles, Insecticide, herbicide or hazardous chemical containers.

All collections dates will be moved forward one day when a national holiday occurs on a collection date. New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
